This aerial photo shows a set of tractor trailers lined up on Second Avenue with various large parts of the tunnel boring machine.

One by one the trailers will be moved into position near the Liebherr HS 855 crawler crane that is partially shown at the very top of the image. Workers will attach steel cables and rigging to the part that is to be lifted, traffic will be stopped, and then the crane will very carefully lift and lower the piece down into the hole.

This image was taken from an apartment on the SW corner of The Waterford, a residential building located at 300 East 93rd Street. The intersection that you see is Second Avenue and East 92nd Street.
